Overseas Chinese Town (OCT), a site contains existing factory/warehouse and dormitory buildings all built in the early eighties. In the midst of a mixture of white collar-middle class residential areas and a Disneyland type entertainment and culture zone, these factories remain as urban residuals in the fast growing city.

Located at the cross-section of Gonghexin Street and Daning Street and spanning 55,000 square meters in site area and 250,000 square meters in total area, Daning Life Hub is comprised of 15 buildings, 11 public squares and two kilometers of promenade. It includes shopping centers, restaurants, retail shops, entertainment venues, cultural and educational centers, offices, SOHO style apartments and many other modern services.

Located in the northwest corner of Beijing's Central Business District, Soho Shangdu stands at the prime spot between Chaowai, Jianguomen, and Guomao commercial strips. Designed by Peter Davidson, at a 2.2 hectare site with a total area of 170,000 square meters, it includes one 5-storey, 37,000 square meter vertical shopping street, one 8-storey business building, one 24-storey office tower and one 29-storey apartment tower. The shopping street interior may host various events, varying "outside" or "inside" exhibits according to weather conditions.
